Inspiration
&Process

I became interested in the research method 'photo study' (Bella and Bruce, 2012) after being inspired by the daily photo documentation of my last project. I love traveling and when I open my phone album I could see my travel footprint around the world, which led me to document my travel timeline.

I started to document where and when I traveled for six years based on my memories from my phone albums and photos on social media.

     

I have put together the timeline below of the trip from the information I checked and the photos from my phone.

As I sorted through the photos, I found that as time passed, some of the memories of the trip became blurred and those photos pieced together my memories - some of them recalling the places and times. However, some of the memories were lost. 

So I deciced to use mono and colour photo wall to show whether I still remember them clearly or not.

It is noticeable that the more time moves backward, the more photographs in black and white, which are my memories got missing.
